Leaving for Easter break...

As I was going through my normal preschool day on the day before Easter break, one of my students asked me a peculiar question. We were all discussing things that we were looking forward to doing over our break, and of course each student had something EXTREMELY important to say. Some were planning to color eggs, others had travel plans, and mostly everyone had an egg hunt or two to participate in. While I sat listening to their discussions, one of my preschoolers was outraged.... He wanted to know what I would be doing at school since there would be no kids there. WHAT? What do you mean what will I be doing? I will be spending time with my family at home and even doing some of the same things you will be doing! He was just baffled that I would not be at school. Ah, the thoughts of a preschooler. That is why I love my job; kids say the darndest things!
